A POST ABOUT EVERYTHING!

Hi my Prims,
We had a ball of a time in the city of Boston, at the Red Sox baseball game.
The Boston Red Sox won 12 to 8. They played against Seattle Mariners. I did take some pictures of the city after we parked in the parking garage and walked to Fenway Park which is the oldest park in the country! So here are some pictures on the way to Fenway!

BEAUTIFUL city but I am a COUNTRY PUMPKIN! It is so great to visit but I am a COUNTRY GAL for sure!!!!!!
Here we are. We made it to Fenway Park....

The sun did come out about an hour later and it wasn't HOT at all. It was a PERFECT day for a England baseball game!

Come on into Fenway with me...

I did have a Fenway Frank, YUMMO! I guess it just tastes out of this world when you are at Fenway park watching the Red Sox play!

Mr. Hillcrest JUST had to take a picture of me. Well I can't say anything because they are always getting their picture taken by me. I heard our oldest son say Dad come here PICTURE time again. I just starting laughing. I know they only do it for me!!! Thanks Family!

Wakefield was the starting pitcher and he pitched his 2,000 strikeout yesterday! The crowd went nuts!

I went up to take a picture of the whole baseball park and see the blue sky!

It was a GREAT day with my family! Now for some other things..
Look what came in the mail for me Saturday. A SURPRISE package from a prim friend Angie from Just A Lil Raggedy, she wrote just thinking of you my friend and she made these two great things for me..
Isn't he CUTE. Thanks Angie for my prim bear! Angie also made me alittle raggedy girl and I was SO excited and the heat I think melted my mind just a little that I forgot to take a picture of her. I will in my next post! When I received my package Mr. Hillcrest and I were in the pool. I am still NOT complaining about the HEAT because we had such a COLD/HARSH winter. I promised many posts ago that when summer came I wouldn't complain about the HEAT! I think there is more in life to think about and complain about, just saying!
Again thank Angie for thinking of me. Please if anyone wants to do a trade with Angie or buy from her go to her blog which is....
http://lilraggedangie.blogspot.com and just click this and it will take you to her blog!!!

I also tweaked AGAIN my dry sink that is in my kitchen and in my last post I am doing kind of a pantry. So, I took away the latern that was in the middle and put my antique yellow ware bowl there and some prim jars and 2 small cutting boards in the back. Here is what it looks like now...

Here are some different views..

I just have to put up my PANTRY sign and it will be done for now anyway!!
Here is what we had for dinner Saturday night and was it YUMMY...
Here they are on the grill, only Mr. Hillcrest does the grill....
We had white rice and pasta salad with sweet tea in a mason jar.
Yes I forgot to take a picture of the whole plate and I am kicking myself now because I even put it on our yellow ware plates, DUH! I told you all my mind has melted alittle, LOL! It looked so great on the plate and our sweet tea and ice cube in our mason jars, just put it in a picture in your mind!!!!!

Also I am posting two items that are for sale.
The first one is a prim dress. I DIDN'T make them.
I have 2 for sale..
It also has a patch and I took a close pic of that as well..

SUMMERTIME POST, ENJOY!!!!!

Hi my Prims,

I hope you are all having a wonderful, lazy and enjoyable summertime!
I do enjoy the summer and why I do is because our oldest is out of College and our youngest is out of High School for summer vacation, which we ALL needed and we have been having a ball together!! I enjoy the beautiful days of summer which are my gardens, cooking on the grill(Mr. Hillcrest's job) and he LOVES it, swimming in our pool, taking a day trips to Cape Cod and having seafood and walking the beach and smelling that salt ocean water and collecting sea shell and of course I have my CAMERA with me to get those great memories, having our firepit going at night and toasting marshmallows and listening to music on our small little radio, having our youngest go for sleepovers with his buddies which he really enjoys and also the Mendon drive-in, that is the only one that we know that is still around! After this HARSH winter I haven't complained about the heat at all. I am just enjoying LIFE!

I wanted to show you a few pictures of before and after of my dry sink. I am trying to make it like a pantry! Let me show you first the before pic.

That is the before and here I changed it up, I still have some other things in mind that I will be doing but here is the after, well a few pics of after...

So like I said I have a few more things I need to do and I will be putting a sign up top that says PANTRY.

Here is my new piece that Hubby and I bought a few weeks ago.....

I love it, this is the only pic that didn't come out blurry!

I will be tweaking it but I wanted you all to see the piece! I truly love it, it screams COLONIAL to me!!!

Here are some more of my flower's...

My black eye susan's are starting to show they will be poping soon!!!

That last picture is of some of my white daisies that I put in the awesome jar and that is another post for later...about the jar!

I leave you with that last picture of summer.

I also want to let you know to go to my prim friend's blog Angie. She is having a giveaway! She is an awesome gal.

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!!!

Hi my Prims,
I have been very busy with summer time things. First I hope you all are having a great summer!

I have some flowers from my garden.
Today it was almost 90 degrees and Mr. Hillcrest opened our inground pool and I am so happy he did! That is the only way I can cool down. We also cook on the grill most of the time which is wonderful, so get a cold drink and I hope you enjoy this very heavy picture post!!

Here are some pictures of my flowers, ENJOY!

These are my four o'clocks or some people call them lemon drops.

In the background you can see our pool and here below are pics of the new rafts and toys for our pool for this year! When I took this picture the stuff was on my kitchen table but NOW they are in the pool area and we are having a ball!

Here is my new swing and I love it! This past weekend we powered washed the deck, there is an upper deck and then you see the lower deck! The deck looks brand new again and we stained it, I will take another picture of how it looks NOW this is the before picture!

BEAUTIFUL!!

Last picture is of my handsome husband and is apron that says SUPER DAD!

Well my next post is of a colonial piece that Hubby and I bought and it is

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!! Also the winner of my Giveaway!

HI My Prims,
I want to wish ALL father's out there a very HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!

Father's to me play an important part of our life and then when we marry and then your husband plays an important part in your child or children's life!

I want to take this this time to honor my wonderful, caring, compassionate, loving HUSBAND and the FATHER of our 2 amazing son's. Dad has and is always there for both our son's. He was the coach for Steve-o's baseball team for 4 years and when he didn't coach he and I were there for EVERY game with his brother Matthew that just loves his older brother most of the time when they are NOT fighting, LOL!. Dad was the one screaming the loudest and cheering the loudest and he DIDN'T care who looked at him. That is his son and he is a proud Daddy. My hubby also was involved in his football same as baseball but baseball Steve-o played for
12 years and football ( I didn't like and was not happy that he was chosen) Steve
played for 4 years. Dad taught both of his son's to read their FIRST book, helped with homework (SSSHHHHH when Mom, didn't know what the heck to do for this math stuff they do now) Dad is there when they are sick, hurt or just needs to talk, Hubby told me he has to teach them how to become great men and how to be a husband and father and how to support their families when they have one, they have the BEST role model, that is for sure!!!! Dad was there painting the the set when Matthew got his first part in the play and in 9th grade, it was the 1st major role part, he was in almost every part, unless he had to hurry and change and I mean HURRY and change and get back on stage ! Matthew also played baseball  for 2 years and didn't care for it and his Daddy was coach again. Matt wanted to quit and his Daddy said NO you have to be a team player and not let your teammates down, you have to finish what you started. Then he played basketball and again just like baseball cheering and and screaming that is my son Matt who got that basket and made the score, PROUD Daddy!!!
I have to say our son's are very lucky and then they have there Grandfather.
Papa loves them so much, he is there for them when he can. Don't worry I will be showing pictures!!!!!!!Ken and his Dad have a great relationship. He loves his Father very much. We are so blessed  that Papa lives right here in the same town. More than one time Ken's Father calls Ken and will say my T.V. isn't working and Ken stops and goes to cares for his Dad, we miss Nonnie which she was a Mother to me for so long and I took care of her when she was sick for 4 years. Papa the boys grandfather, Ken's Dad, which was Nonnie's Hubby still have a hard time as well as me, with Nonnie not here but she is with ALL of us and we WILL see her again.

Here are some pictures I found....................

Here is Matthew and his Papa at Steve-o's graduation!

Here is Steve-o and his Papa after graduation!!
Here is proud Dad ready to cheer on his son when his name is called at graduation, I saw tears in his eyes, but I didn't say anything!
Here we are at the Christmas lights, we go every year, notice the leather coat that Steve-o is wearing it was Hubby's when he was young and he saved it and gave it to Steve, and when Steve grows out of it he is giving it to Matt but Matt said I don't like the leather look go figure. His Daddy has something else for Matt that he is going to get and LOVE!

                      HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!! DAD!!!!!

Here we are when Ken and I were, well let's just say younger of course and thinner, LOL!!!The most important part of this picture is his Matt being held by his Daddy and Steve-o! They LOVE their DADDY!!!!

Matthew and his Dad, getting ready to go to Leah's house to put on the flower's and get in that FABULOUS limo! Matt was just A LITTLE NERVOUS, can't you tell!
Dad was talking the whole way to Leah's house and by the time we got there Matt was smiling and feeling alot better. Thanks to Dad!

Dad and his boys!

Dad, Matt, and Steve with their Daddy in Tennessee!
Just like we were talking Matt and Steve-o always says Dad always takes us somewhere special on vacation.
I feel blessed that the Lord sent Ken my way and he is the Father of my children, I couldn't have asked for a better Daddy and role model than him!
We all love you and wish you a very HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!
