Alot to be Thankful for this year!!

Hi my Prims, I wanted to let you all know how thankful I am few a few reasons..
1. having Christ in my life
2. having th BEST, LOVING HUSBAND in my life and our son's life
3. having two wonderful, caring, and loving sons that Mr. Hillcrest and I are so proud of
4. New friends that I have made that are TRUE caring friends that really care for our family!
5. living a comfortable life do to Mr. Hillcrest providing for us and working so hard for his family
6 our health, Mr. Hillcrest is doing well and only has a foot of colon left but we feel blessed that he has that and he is here with us, and my hystromerty that I had on my utrues it was a size of a baseball and they tested it right thereNO CANCER and then they had a few more things they found that they needed to fix but I have had a set back and was brought to the hospital but I am on medication and on the road of healing again, I am thankful I am NOT taking homrome therapy, because of the lump in my breast I don't want to take the chance, I DON'T have mood swings, I do have some hot flashes but so what I am still young and I have a ice pop and cold towel and I am good to go.
7. Our boys are strong and healthy, praise theLord and our oldest is doing well in College and our youngest is getting A's I can't ask for anything more than have my family in these walls that matter the most!
I feel very BLESSED and I CHERISH each and everyday with them!!!!

I have a few more Christmas pictures to share with you girls, I hope you enjoy them. I love to make my home a place were my family can come and feel the warmth and feel safe and have that homey feeling that they will always remember!!

Here is our Christmas village that we set up every year and we enjoy it so much!

A Primitive Christmas

Now, the things I love about Christmas
1. hot chocolate
2. watching all our favorite movies
3. having friends over
4. doing a Christmas swap with our dear friends
5. decorating our home and making it warm and cozy!
6. having a fire in our fire place with the screen up so you can see the warm glow of the burning wood and the crackling of the wood
7. Going to see all the lights that we go every year to see, at the Shrine in Attleboro, MA,  and there are over 3 million  lights this year, sipping hot cider and the having hot chocolate with the boys.
8. Baking homemade cookies that are from my Grandmother's recipe, which she made every year and even the boys help, but with our oldest in College it is just our youngest that helps and he enjoys it alot.
9. seeing our first snow fall , and taking a walk in the snow
10 Mr. Hillcrest reads the Night before Christmas every year now and our oldest will be home for that!

11. Having our family all home warm and safe, and snuggling in our homemade blanlets that I made , can you believe that!!!'

Here is our tree, remember I have a twig tree in every room, but the boys wanted this tree that they were brought up with, but when the are gone with families of their own Mr,Hillcrest and will be getting a hugs twig German primitive tree!

Look what I got from my very, very good friend, Lori. Alot of you know her as The black crow. She made this Santa light, she is so talented and a sweetheart.  She also made me a primitive cloth that has yummy fixins that you put in warm milk or hot water, and let me tell you it is yummy, and then add whipped cream on top and and candy cane on the side of your mug, YUMMO!!!

Lori and I are always doing swaps together and we talk on the phone every morning and every night, she is a sweetheart. Lori and Joe were going to come down but because I had more work done by my Doctor, I needed alot more time to heal, but we made plans for April and Lori and Joe will be coming down  for a few days to spend time with Mr.Hillcrest and I and we can't wait.

A TASTE OF CRISTMAS!!

Hi my Prims, I wanted to post a few pictures of a few things I have done in our home for the hoilday's. I know alot of people DON'T decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving but I really LOVE Christmas. I feel that people show decorate when they WANT to, I DON'T think there is any right time or wrong time!

Now I hope you like my picutures of Christmas, We are going to put up our Christmas village that we do every year behind the kitchen table that is where it will go. I am FAR from done decorating. I still have to take it slow after this surgery that I had. I would love to hear what it is that you LOVE about Christmas. Snow,Rain,and Windy Monday!

Hi My Prims I am back. Thank you all for praying for me and all of your warm thoughts. I am not 100% yet but I am getting there. I do have to say to all of you know I talk about Mr. Hillcrest (my husband) well I want to let all of you know I am SOOOOOOO BLESSED to have such a wonderful, loving,caring HUSBAND in the whole world. He took care of me and everything in our home. Mr. Hillcrest even went food shopping. I wrote a list and he got everything on the list and extra!!!. He did a GREAT job.
Honey thank you so much for caring for me and being there every step of the way!  I LOVE YOU!!

Well, today when I got up with Mr. HIllcrest I thought I was dreaming I saw that white stuff we call S N O W!!!!! It is wet and cold and raining today. I guess that is New England for ya!

I will be doing a post later with pictures etc. I just wanted to let you all know that I am back and thank you all for the cards,warm thoughts,emails, and the warm thoughtful comments.  Until next time!
