Christmas part 2!

Hi my Prims,
First I want to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers for our son, Matt. I sure do have a second family and they ARE ALL of YOU BLOGGING FRIENDS!

Yesterday I did some more decorating and tweaking here and there and made some cookies.
These are choc.chips and peanut butter chips dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. I made 3 dozen, some for here and some for the Senior Center.
Here are some livingroom Christmas pictures....ENJOY!

Here are a few pictures in our bedroom and kitchen and hallway!

I LOVE Santa's prim suit!!!!!!

We did have some snow so I took a few pictures and I sang LET IT SNOW,LET IT SNOW....NO I don't think I have lost my mind yet....well maybe alittle,LOL!

So PRETTY when you are in your hometsead and warm by the fire and you have the PEOPLE that really LOVE you  around you!!!!!! I thank the Lord all the time for My husband Ken and my 2 sons Steven and Matthew. I am VERY BLESSED.

People walk away from you, even your family members like father mother sister or brother but one thing I know I HAVE is my family in these walls and I thank the Lord for that and that is what counts.
I have dealt with alot like I said lately and I have also buried alot that some people just can't keep the PAST the PAST, even when you are the one that has been hurt and disowned by your outside family. I pray for them and I hope when judgement day comes.....and it will for all of us...I pray for their soul.

Well, I have more pictures of my hallaway and some pictures of outside looking in our homestead.
I and going to leave you with these pictures and will do another post tommorow.
When I worry I keep very busy. So I bake, cook , knit and because of Christmas I decorate and tweak.
My Hubby was in bed all day with the flu, he was throwing up all day until 4:00a.m. this morning, so I have been caring for him and praying that Matt, Steve or I do not get it.
Again thank you to all my friends for your prayers you can't choose your outside family BUT you can choose your friends.
Christmas Blessings,
Tricia

PRAYERS PLEASE!

Hi my Prims,
I am posting this to ask you all to pray for our younger son, Matt.
He has been having chest pain, and his heart has been racing. I called the heart doctor and they took him in right away yesterday. They did a EKG and a chest X-RAY, He told the doctor what has been happening, fluttering in his chest that can be so scary, it has woken him up at night, shortness of
bresth, very dizzy and the doctor knew what it was it is called (SVT)
Supraventricular Tachycardia it is not common for an 18 year old in teens period. It is in the bottom of his heart chamber that is pumping blood through and can't. He is wearing a heart montior and he has had 4 attacks since yesterday. Matt does suffer from anixety and does take medication for it and the doctor said it isn't the medication he is taking for his anixety, the poor kiddo.
The doctor and the team sat us down and said in this case surgery would be what needs to be done because this can be dangerous. They will go in and burn off that chamber and this should fix the problem. They want a few good reads on the machine and they gave him a medication to help the fluttering but it isn't working because he doesn't have what my husband has A FLIB, and the doctor did say it might not work.
So I am asking if you my prayer warriors please pray for our son.
My husband and I are both in shock, he is just so young like the doctor said.

We have been through so much in the past couple of years but when it comes to your children and I don't care how old  they are you want to take their place.

Blessings friends,
Tricia

A Hillcrest Homestead Christmas Part 1

Hi my Prims,
I wanted to share our Colonial Christmas displays and some full room shots that I took after a few LONG days of decorating.
Christmas time has always been a special and magical time of year for me as I was a child and now as an adult. Sharing it with my husband and my sons have just given me such joy and happiness.
There are alot of traditions we have done and still do.
When we wake up our sons come down and wake us up and hubby stocks
the fire and puts on all the lights and Christmas music then he comes in the bedroom where we wait for him and we pray and then we sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to JESUS!!!!
We will do this forever. We find it VERY important that our sons keep these traditions going and pass them all down to their children. Also to let their children know it is Jesus's Birthday and know their Bible which they do.

From here on out I am going to be very busy. I bake alot of cookies like my Grandmother did and freeze them and this year I am going to bring a couple of dozens of cookies to the Senior Center in our town.

I love the smell of our homestead and how cozy, warm and inviting it is when I start to decorate and bring out everything we have collected over the years. You will see some of our collections in the pictures I have taken.
This is a picture heavy post so please gave a cup of tea or hot chocolate sit back and enjoy!
This is all in the kitchen...........

This reindeer was made by my friend Wendy@Ravenwood Whimizies.
I was her partner and wait till you see what eles I got in my package. This exchange was a few months ago so you know I have been itching to decorate and get my reindeer out. LOVE HIM Wendy!!!

Outside looking in,I wish it came out better but I love the way it looks outside.

Outside looking in again!

This was from my friend Tammy A Primitive Place blog,I never forget when someone sends me something or we do a swap. Tammy is a sweetheart. You should go to her blog and check out her Christmas Homestead....BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

So there are some goodies on my theme Christmas tree in the kitchen. This year I have 3 tree's in our kitchen. The other 2 have colored lights on them.
The second one is on a yellow ware bowl and is on an old sled in the window and the third one is a small one on the other side of my kitchen.

Here is the second one. Love it.

Here is my small tree. It didn't come out like I wanted too. The colored lights look alot better, the picture just didn't show it.

Near our bow window we will be putting our Christmas village up. Mr.Hillcrest does that and he really enjoys it, thank goodness because there are so many cords, lights etc., then our kitchen will be complete for Christmas!!!!!!
Here is our collection of Belsnickle's. Some are here and some are in other places.

Here is another one, I just love these Santa's.Here is a HUGE one that we bought last year because Mr.Hillcrest just loved him....

Here is a Father Christmas that Wendy made me for our swap we did a way back....
