Hi My Prim,
Well, as I sit here Mr.Hillcrest just came in and he smells the yummy dinner I made. A new chicken recipe, sweet potatoe cassrole, fresh green beans and homemade honey wheat bread, YUMMO!
So I wanted to share with you all,I went out with some great friends that live right here in town and we are starting a quilting group get together. I am VERY EXCITED about that! Well they asked me last week if I would like to go out for a get together and talk about, well you guessed it, prim, colonial and quilts that we plan on making. So, I said YES, I will be there!
So, here we are. We went for Chinese food and it was SOOOO GOOD!
Here we are and Sue my very great friend that is standing next to me. Sue made me a beautiful quilt all in different color pinks because that is my favorite color. It was an after surgery and Christmas gift in one. Sue is a sweetie and a very good friend!
Here we are a CRAZY bunch of girls!!! We sure did have a great time together. We are going to do this once a month if we can!
Here is another basket I out on my other door, but I can't believe this but they are saying 4 to 7 inches of SNOW and I am putting up my baskets and flower's!!!!!
Here is my flag!!!!
The basket you see on my half bathroom is a basket I made with my Grandmother. I even have a picture of me sitting at a table and making this basket, my Grandmother took the picture and she is the one who taught me how to make this basket.
Here is a closer look, the blue in the middle as faded with the years but not my memories of my Grandmother and I making this beautiful, pricless basket.
Here is what I have on my kitchen table, but alot of you know me well enough that I am ALWAYS changing things or re-painting things so by the time comes for Easter it might be different.
A close up with a Chocolate bunny made from wax and prim carrots, with straw twig like hay...
Here are a few more Spring things I put out...
I bought both of thses things you see. I think they scream, PLEASE SPRING COME!!!!!
I am NOT sure about this. I know I need something inside the crate but not to sure on what yet, however I am sure it will come to me. Also, I am NOT sure if I like it there. We will see.
A few things I added not to sure on this either, only time will tell.
This last picture is of the Ladle Scone that I am selling it is in my last post. Well, here is a picture of it..
Not the best picture but if you know what they are yu know what you are looking at.
My tin light that I just love and the last picture is of my office...
Okay girls that is it for tonight, I have to go get Mr. Hillcrest's dinner and spend time with my Hubby!
I hope you all stay safe and warm.
Til next time be kind to one another.
Prim Blessings,
Tricia

I went to the mail box today and I won a FABULOUS giveaway from Tracey at Where My Heart Grows. Tracey is a super gal, look what I got from her, it felt like Christmas...Please go check out her blog you will love it"Where My Heart Grows"
Here is what I saw when I opened up my box, and then there was more and more, it was the bottomless box.

Now for the candy, I got my Country Sampler in the mail today as well and with my chocolate, OH it is going to be a GREAT night....
See this is what I will be doing later. I am going to curl up in our cozy warm bed and have my hot cup of tea and my chocolate that Tracey sent me and my CS and I am going to enjoy myself I will call it my relaxing time!
I emailed Tracey right away when I got my AWESOME giveaway, it is her first one that she has ever done and Tracey, all I can say is you OUTDID yourself. Everything was wrapped up so nice and there were extra goodies in there and she also wrote me a beautiful card.
Tracey I want to say Thank You so much but the best gift that you couldn't fit in the box was a great friendship that we have! You put your heart and soul into this Spring Giveaway and I also gained a great friend. I guess I got two GREAT gifts!!!!
Now for some pictures our youngest took on the way to school. I was driving and he just loves to take pictures and they came out great...
Breathtaking...
Great job buddy. He also took a few pictures of some homes that we love to look at and he said Mom can I take a few pictures of these homes and what do you think I said"of course".
So there are a 2 homes he wanted to take pictures of, Great job pal!
Now the next picture means alot to my family, as alot of you know I took care of my MIL( which I called her Mom) because she was my Mom to me and it has been 4 years Nov.5th that she has gone home to be with the Lord and we all still feel the loss. You just learn to live with it and adjust it to your life which it is hard to do, you NEVER get over someone that you love dearly that has passed on. Mr.Hillcrest loved his Mom and it is still hard. My Grandmother would tell me when you date a man watch how he treats his Mother because that is how he will treat you and that was VERY TRUE, my husband treats me like a Queen as he did his Mother and our sons were extremely close to their "Nonnie" and miss her dearly. Well to make a long story short my FIL gave Mr. Hillcrest my MIL"S baby shoes that are bronzed and we both had tears in our eyes because they mean so much to our family and our sons both wrote this beautiful saying to go with the shoes and we framed it..
In Memory Of Our Nonnie
Don't think of her as gone away
Her jouney has just begun in Heaven
Just think of her resting in a place of warmth, comfort and peace
were there is no tears, fear, sadness, sickness, and hurt.
And we think of our Nonnie as living in our hearts and in everyone's hearts she touched.
For nothing loved is ever lost and she was and still is loved by us her family.
We love you and miss you Nonnie and we hope you are proud of us.
We will see you again, but for now we know that you are on our shoulder's and you are protecting us and guiding us through life. We love you Nonnie.
Love your Grandsons,
Steve-o and Matt
Here is a picture of their Nonnie's baby shoes
After they wrote this together Mr. Hillcrest and I teared up as they read it to us as they to had tears coming down their faces as well. Their Grandmother was a huge part of their life and she told them when it was time for her to go home to be with her parents and the Lord she would be on their shoulder and she sure as been.We are so proud of both of our sons, as Steve-o is going to College which his Grandmother wanted him to do, he is doing it and he is an A student and holds a part time job, we couldn't ask for more and Matt is in Drama and is getting A's and one B and is looking into graphic design for College, he is FABULOUS at art, just like is Father and his Nonnie,I tell them all the time how proud she is of both of them!
So, I know that I bragged alittle but it is a full time job to raise great kids and in this crazy world we live in. Mr. Hillcrest and I are proud that they are turning into great young men! We are PROUD parents!!
Til next time my Prims,
Be kind to each other and love one another.
Prim Blessings,
Tricia
