A Great Giveaway from The Primitive Pantry
Hi Girls,
Besides the great giveaway with two surprises that I am doing in the previous post. I have been informed about another fantastic giveway from "The Primitive Pantry" forum, which I am also a staff member of. You can access the forum by clicking the Primitive Pantry link to the right. There are two rules for the giveaway. The first rule is that you must be a member or join the forum. The second rule is you must have at least 15 posts or more on the forum. After we reach 50 members or more, in celebration of that milestone, we will be doing this awesome drawing in mid-June, even if we have many more members than 50. All of the items were obtained from our store which you can also access by clicking our store link to the right also. We will be getting new inventory this week at the store. Below are pictures of the items "The Primitive Pantry" will be giving away to one lucky member drawn at random.

Good Luck to all!!!!!
I thought I would post some more pics of our adventure colonial/prim hunting yesterday. Mr Hillcrest and I had a great day with some wonderful finds.
We found this great Ice Cream maker from 1889, as you can see from this old advertisement. Is a "White Mountain Ice Cream freezer" and everything is included, and "it works". What a find!!! Can you imagine this, it only cost us $15.00 after some bartering, what a deal. After we got home, we went on the internet and we found out that the freezers have not changed much over the years, and this is a first edition model. Can you imagine that new ones cost $200.00, and it is a real keeper. This will be handed down over the generations in our family. We just love it.
We gave it a home here in our kitchen
This old plate holder before a prim touch for only .50 cents
This is after I painted it black, and I will be putting a yelloware plate inside. How do you like it girls?
Here is a cute bench we got for only $5.00 and it needed a prim/colonial touch. This is the before pic.
This is the after with a black watering can. It will be displayed in one of our perinnial gardens, which we will be posting soon, when all the flowers come up and are in bloom.(It takes some time for that up here in New England)
Here is another great piece that we got for $5.00 and it needs some prim attention. It will be going next to our bed when I am done with it today.
Well girls I just want to say you are all so great and I love to read all your comments you leave me, if it wasn't for all of you I wouldn't have such a great
blog. Please don't forget about the GREAT , AWESOME giveaway with 2 GREAT surprises that will be included!!!
Till next time my friends God Bless and have a GREAT week!!
Blessings,
Tricia

Our Day at the Boston Marathon
Hi girls,
As I said before, I would be posting today about our morning at the starting line to the Boston Marathon. We live in Hopkinton, MA, which I described in an earlier post. The Boston Marathon is a 26 mile run where runners from all over the world come to Hopkinton to start the race and then run into the city from here. Our little town is so full of excitment as it fills up with 24,000 runners, and over 250,000 specators. Mr. Hillcrest knows alot of important people due to his job, and every year, we are lucky enough to see the race start from the VIP booth here in town with special passes. This always makes it so exciting, because we are lucky enough to sit and mingle with many important people while we are there. As promised, I am going to post some pictures of our adventure on this picture perfect morning here in Hopkinton. The weather could not have been more beautiful, and the people were just great.
