So, grab a cup of tea or hot cider and enjoy the tour:
The entrance to the park, which covers five towns!!!
Here is some more pictures, of the bridge where the first shot was heard round the world. Many men that day died, and there was alot of blood shed.
This next picture is were 3 British soldiers are buried right near the bridge...
When I was standing there I got the chills just thinking where we were standing there was such a bloody battle and so many men lost their lives.
This statue was right in the middle of the battle field, look at the beautiful blue sky and it was just such a crisp cool day!!!!
Here I am on the bridge, and all of you that know me well I didn't want my picture taken but Mr. Hillcrest said oh Honey you have to so all your friends can see where you were!
This is what we saw when we were walking over to the Colonial home that you are going to see next!
Here we are walking up to the home!
Here is another view.
All the pictures of the home you just saw was built by Reverend William Emerson and he built his home in 1769.
On April 19th 1775 William and his family watched from their home as the British soilders and the local militia fought the battle that started the American Revolutionary War!
I am sure Mr. Emerson and his family were scared to see this happening right in front of their eyes in their back yard!
I was so excited when Mr. Hillcrest took me to see the real home of the "Little Women", which is my FAVORITE movie of all time, with Jo, Beth,& May. Here are some pictures of the home!
Here is a picture inside of the home!
Here is Nathan Meriam's House!
