Fall is going to be here in a blink of an eye!

HI my Prims, I just wanted to stop in to let you all know I have been VERY busy! My shop Hillcrest Home Prims  has been very busy. I have been getting alot of orders and I will be stocking Christmas items by the end of Oct. So, keep watching!
I have been busy starting to make a quilt with a group of great women that I posted about sometime in March or April. I am very excited about this, great friends, great conversations and great food!!
I also bought this cute cabinet and I did a re-do. I painted it black and it is in the bedroom. Here is a picture...

I also bought this colonial candle holder and hang it above my cabinet...
So the pic is blurry, but the candle holder I bought is different. There is a cover on the top so when
you light the candle it protects your wall. I really love it!

I love to make our home warm and cozy.

Well we are getting our oldest son Steve-o ready for his second year of college, he will be a Sophomore this year in college. Steve-o has become a fine young man and his Father and I are so proud of him and the choices he has made in his life. He worked all summer a full-time job and part time job at night, with a few days off for a few day trips etc.
So, now it is back to the books!!! I still keep thinking about our Steve-o graduating from High School and now he is a Sophomore in college. I have to say Steve-o is still very close to his High School friends and here are some pics. that I didn't post of his High School graduation.
I have to say I also been scrap booking this summer and I still get tears in my eyes because as a Mother I see my sons grow up right in front of my eyes but to FAST!!!!!!!

Our youngest son Matthew is going to be a Junior in High School this year. It is a big year for him because he will be looking at alot of college's this year that he is interested in! Matt does VERY well in school so we know he will be accepted to the one he really wants to attend. I have to say he is our little FIRE BALL,and we are very proud of him!! His Father and I just keep telling him reach for the stars kiddo, you have the whole world in front of you!  High School goes back August 30th can you believe that!!!Where did the summer go??? I have no idea!
Here is our Matthew....

Matt loves his board. Alot of his friends ride on their boards for hours!!!!
This one he got for Christmas last year!!!!

Well, here we go time to start to decorate for FALL.
I think alot of us love FALL TIME because of the turning of the leaves on the trees, the warm reds, the beautiful oranges and the bright yellows.
I also love the cool days and cool nights. I love to bake and cook. Taking our trips to Sturbidge and the mountains in New Hampshire with Mr. Hillcrest and sometimes our sons come and we make a day of it!!!

Here is a couple of fall things I already put up!!

More fall pictures to come!
I hope you all have a great day and be kind to one another and give extra hugs and kisses to the one's you love!
Till next time

A POST ABOUT EVERYTHING!

Hi my Prims,
We had a ball of a time in the city of Boston, at the Red Sox baseball game.
The Boston Red Sox won 12 to 8. They played against Seattle Mariners. I did take some pictures of the city after we parked in the parking garage and walked to Fenway Park which is the oldest park in the country! So here are some pictures on the way to Fenway!

BEAUTIFUL city but I am a COUNTRY PUMPKIN! It is so great to visit but I am a COUNTRY GAL for sure!!!!!!
Here we are. We made it to Fenway Park....

The sun did come out about an hour later and it wasn't HOT at all. It was a PERFECT day for a England baseball game!

Come on into Fenway with me...

I did have a Fenway Frank, YUMMO! I guess it just tastes out of this world when you are at Fenway park watching the Red Sox play!

Mr. Hillcrest JUST had to take a picture of me. Well I can't say anything because they are always getting their picture taken by me. I heard our oldest son say Dad come here PICTURE time again. I just starting laughing. I know they only do it for me!!! Thanks Family!

Wakefield was the starting pitcher and he pitched his 2,000 strikeout yesterday! The crowd went nuts!

I went up to take a picture of the whole baseball park and see the blue sky!

It was a GREAT day with my family! Now for some other things..
Look what came in the mail for me Saturday. A SURPRISE package from a prim friend Angie from Just A Lil Raggedy, she wrote just thinking of you my friend and she made these two great things for me..
Isn't he CUTE. Thanks Angie for my prim bear! Angie also made me alittle raggedy girl and I was SO excited and the heat I think melted my mind just a little that I forgot to take a picture of her. I will in my next post! When I received my package Mr. Hillcrest and I were in the pool. I am still NOT complaining about the HEAT because we had such a COLD/HARSH winter. I promised many posts ago that when summer came I wouldn't complain about the HEAT! I think there is more in life to think about and complain about, just saying!
Again thank Angie for thinking of me. Please if anyone wants to do a trade with Angie or buy from her go to her blog which is....
http://lilraggedangie.blogspot.com and just click this and it will take you to her blog!!!

I also tweaked AGAIN my dry sink that is in my kitchen and in my last post I am doing kind of a pantry. So, I took away the latern that was in the middle and put my antique yellow ware bowl there and some prim jars and 2 small cutting boards in the back. Here is what it looks like now...

Here are some different views..

I just have to put up my PANTRY sign and it will be done for now anyway!!
Here is what we had for dinner Saturday night and was it YUMMY...
Here they are on the grill, only Mr. Hillcrest does the grill....
We had white rice and pasta salad with sweet tea in a mason jar.
Yes I forgot to take a picture of the whole plate and I am kicking myself now because I even put it on our yellow ware plates, DUH! I told you all my mind has melted alittle, LOL! It looked so great on the plate and our sweet tea and ice cube in our mason jars, just put it in a picture in your mind!!!!!

Also I am posting two items that are for sale.
The first one is a prim dress. I DIDN'T make them.
I have 2 for sale..
It also has a patch and I took a close pic of that as well..
It is a pic of the Mayflower and it is stitched on. The buttons as well. Great for anyone collecting bonnets and prims aprons and prim dresses.
Asking $20.00 plus travel fees.

Next is stackable boxes..
I have 2 sets left and asking $15.00 plus travel fees!

Well this was a LONG post and I do hope you enjoyed it. The last couple of pictures are of a bunny that we call Summer. She was here all last year and then there were 2 this year so we called them Mr.&Mrs. Summer and we think they had babies. Here is a picture,so cute..
Well that is all for now.
Be kind to one another and give hugs and kisses to the ones you hold dear.
